Just curious, does any mid-shipment leave the academy for church services? Can they attend church off campus on Sunday morning if picked up or travel by bus or sub? If so, what year could they do this and what time would they need to be back. Also, where is the nearest bus or train station to the academy?

a few of my friends leave to go to church in the city every sunday night with part of the schools youth group. they have a special liberty in order to do it, and they've been allowed to do it every sunday since we were accepted.

the bus stop is right outside of the gates to the academy, and it drops you off at the train station about 10 minutes later.

i'm one of the kids that really loves going to the city for church, i have a great church out there and go every week. there's a college service there on saturday nights that we all ride together to and hang out with kids from all across the city and have church, which is a good time. and on sundays, all you have to do it fill out a paper saying you want to go to church and they'll pretty much always let you go. i haven't seen them turn anyone down yet. so i wouldn't worry about it

Thanks mids...I again feel greatful the next generation is going to be in good hands.

We have a sister church in NYC, Redeemer Presbyterian Church. Tim Keller is the pastor. Was wondering if anyone from USMMA attends.

i'm sure someone does, but i don't know of any one, i go to Morning Star New York. it's a great church. there's lots of good churches in the city though... so anything you want, i'm sure you can find.

Any spirit filled churches????

morning star new york...

Is the program the same for Catholic churches too? What is the religious breakdown of M/N at KP?

the Catholic chaplain here is great. i'm not Catholic, and thus haven't gone to mass here, but i can say that the chaplain is awesome, and there are many Catholic mids on campus. pretty much no matter how you swing church wise there's a group for you here, and if not, the school will do everything in its power to see that your religious needs are met.

Found the website for Morning Star...it looks like an awesome church. My son is very active in our local church http://www.glorydome.org and it looks like Morning Star would be a good fit! Hope you two can meet eventually and perhaps you can introduce him to the Morning Star church.
