Question for those who has taken the PSAT

Our school takes it this Saturday. How does does the PSAT take? my school said it goes from 8-12:30. That's long..I thought the PSAT was shorter. Also did you guys write an essay? I thought there wasn't essay portion on PSAT...does your school have to write the essay? PSAT is only 6 sections? (2 math, 2 CR, 2 writing)?

for us it was 3 and 1/2 hours. no essay. 5 sections (2math, 2reading, 1 writing)

4 25 minute sections
1 30 minute section
= 130 minutes = 2 hours, 10 minutes

"Question for those who has taken the PSAT"

Yeah the PSAT tests grammar, better study!

footloop-
I believe mikethemaddog was pointing out the op's mistake by highlighting it.

HAHAHAH jym is right, thats why it's quoted!

i took the psat wed. Does the sat have the fixing up paragraphs like the psat does?

I'm not too worried about my grammar :o. It's supposedly my strongest of the 3 sections. Why is my school making us write an essay, if it doesn't even count toward the score.....

I thought I knew the answer to this yet I forgot, does your psat score go on your transcript?

bornin- i'm pretty sure that your PSAT score doesn't go on your transcript.

I've never heard of schools adding an essay to the PSAT...
they could easily do essaysa seperatly, so why would the make the PSAT worse than it is?

your PSAT score doesn't go on the transcipt
