For people who have already transferred, or even if you didn’t yet but have knowledge: how do registration windows work when you’re trying to enroll in classes? One worry I had was if I transferred to UC, if I’d have very late windows to register for classes. Do they look at all your UC transferable units for determining your window (class standing)? Or else, how does it work?
Ah thank you for that link–so I’m assuming it includes AP units as well? (at least I remember that certain UC freshmen were already at sophomore standing due to AP units, might be different for transfers though)
In any case, I definitely feel more at ease knowing they take into account your units at least.
They do take in your AP units. My first pass at UCLA was sunday at 10 PM, which was considered middle range according to some of my friends I’ve talked to. There will be “sophomores” and whatnot who have an earlier enrollment date than you do because of all the AP credits they have making them senior standing.
At UCLA, transfers register for the Fall during orientation this summer. They set aside X number of spots in classes across all departments, so transfers will be able to get classes. I actually got a better class selection during orientation than I did registering for Winter, and I hace Senior standing. It’s a crapshoot.
