Question for UCD

my mother recently got a divorce and my financial situation has changed drastically.
Do I really have to wait until september to fill out the new form for a better financial aid?

I really need to compare FA packages right now to decide where I’m going next year =[

I'm sorry to hear that. I would recommend that you update your FAFSA and then send in a verification form with your mother's tax returns (Don't forget to put your student ID # on the top right of all the papers you submit)
Here is the link to the verification form: <a href="http://financialaid.ucdavis.edu/undergraduate/Forms/0809_UG_Publications/VERIFI.pdf%5B/url%5D">http://financialaid.ucdavis.edu/undergraduate/Forms/0809_UG_Publications/VERIFI.pdf</a></p>

Good luck! My financial aid is in a similar situation (except I made a mistake and my EFC was 22000, when it was really supposed to be 4000, so now I'm hoping and waiting for my financial aid... I really cannot and will not take out 20k in loans for a year of college =( )

I would also contact the Financial Aid office for any advice they might be able to give.
