for everybody who has taken the ssats: what was the hardest word(s) on there that you remember?

all of them were hard that i didnt want to remember any of them!

yikes rlly?

yeaa english is not my first language

they were kind of easy :/

im feel so STUPID now!!

well english isn’t your 1st language.

ssrfsssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

rad 10 posts away to be a senior

I know XD XD exited :D

'Grats Rad. Um… Hardest was Math because Math is my weakest area by far.

Usually math (80% in the SSAT) is my weakest area too, but because English is not my first language and I could almost only execute wrong answers in the Verbal part, which I scored only 30% in, my SSAT (60%) unfortunately is quite low for the very competive schools I´m applying to.

baha i got an absolutely atrocious score on math. 45% M 97 S&A 92 R

my friend took it recently and she vocab was the hardest and math was okayish.

for TKD- as long as it is more or less the average, you’ll be fine

I hope so. I could not retake for financial reasons and I think I did well on my essays and in my interviews. There´s nothing more one can do at this time anyway.
Off topic: Do you know of people, especially international applicants, who got into schools with SSAT scores which were up to 20-25% lower than the schools´ average?

Analogies were the easiest by far for me… I got a couple of similies wrong but somehow analogies click for me… Were they easy for anyone else? I often see people complaining about them. Math was really hard for me though :)

If I know most of the words they are very easy for me too. The relations of the words just come to my mind directly.

TKD: international applicants… i think the lowest was 15% lower I think, but it ssat’s are a really small part… what are your grades/ achievements/ extracurriculars? are you applying fa? how did ur interviews go?

I don´t want to tell too much about me, since there is nothing I can do to help my application at the moment, but my grades are quite good and my interviewers liked my extracurriculars and they said that my English (at least my oral English) was very good and that I had a great American accent. Three Interviewers also said that I was this kind of nice and passionate student the schools like to have as new Juniors and that I would fit in perfectly. But I think they all did not know about my SSAT scores at that point of time, so I´ll see…
And yes, I am also applying for FA.

Just go study procrastinating on cc won’t help also there are other parts too . I got a 95 but found reaing and math more challenging then verbal
