Question from a transfer student who loves Rice

So like everyone else in this forum, I'm pretty much in love with Rice. Not only because of a summer program I was fortunate enough to do there during high school, but also because of the great things everyone posts here about Rice. It's pretty hard to find such an active and passionate thread for any top-notch school on college confidential.
I'm applying as a transfer student, and I just had a question about Rice's transfer acceptance rate. I know it's a great school among the top 20, thus, I figure they'd be exclusive with who they accept.
However, does anyone have an estimate about the percentage of students they accept as transfers?? The average minimum gpa? Have they ever really accepted students with a 3.2 college gpa? (I know the Rice website states the minimum gpa is a 3.2 in order to be considered as an applicant).

I actually talked about this with an admissions person while I was helping with Admit Days registration…for this year, about 400 people applied and they accepted somewhere in the 90’s…so about the 24-25% acceptance rate.

Thanks for the feedback. :)
