Question from an amateur...

When you apply to college, like fill in the college application, do you have to specify which part of the college you want to join?

As in, if I wanted to apply to University of Michigan, do I fill out their application and that's it? Or do I have to fill one that is specific to Ross (their business school)?

Or, if I wanted to apply to Upenn, do I have to fill out a Wharton app or just a Upenn app (the general one)?

Please help I am really confused...:(

For colleges with multiple schools you will have to SPECIFY which school you are applying to. Some schools will then have additional essay questions specific for that program.

Go look at their applications, it will be obvious.
Ross-extra essay
WHarton-no extras

what about the common app? it doesn't have any of those things...

does this only apply to ED?

you need supplements for penn.
UMICH doesnt accept common app.

I don't mind answering good questions, but just go look at their applications and everything will be obvious.

look buddy, if you don't want to answer my questions you don't have to.

I TOLD you that I looked at the common app, and they had no such thing... to get the specific app, you have to go and create a username, which I will do later...

I was just asking this question because I am genuinely confused and this site is good for clearing doubts.

Doing that (which would take about a minute) would clear up all questions, as it gives you the supplements (or tells you that there are some to be filled out).
