Question on Accounting Major

Just curious, exactly how rigorous is the 5 yr Accounting masters program at Wake? (does it involve summer classes and everything?) I’ve heard the business school at Wake is insanely difficult. In fact, the only person I know of that went to Wake (in my area) was back the following semester attending Eastern Kentucky University lol.

I’m still in a toss up between which school I am going to apply ED to (between Wake and ND), but that 5 yr masters program just sounded like a sweet deal when the representative was telling me about it. So as of now I’m leaning a little more towards Wake. I just wanted to get some input from some current students about it.

All I can tell you is that my son (not a business major) says that Wake accounting is one of the most respected programs in the country. From what he has been told, students that graduate in the program can pick their employment. Has also heard that it is very tough.

yea...If I'm not mistaken, I think Wake's CPA pass rate is like 2nd in the nation. (thats why I want to attend this school) ....that part about practically picking your employment sounds pretty good to me lol. I love North Carolina, hopefully I can find a good job there. If I get into Wake that is......

Yeah, the Accounting program is awesome, that is what I originally wanted to do in HS when I looked at Wake.

I heard its one of the best in the nation. My friend is doing the 5 year masters program and he says its really hard (but worth it).

Several people who do a five year accounting masters program, double major with Accounting and Finance. That is INTENSE.
