So, if I have 15-20 minutes between each class to get from one class to another, would that be enough time? That’s the only problem I seem to have on my schedule, I tried bunching all my classes in the morning so there are times where I only have 20 minutes to go from like gym to lecture.
Then again a 20 minute walk is well over a mile walk so I would assume it would be easy to get to class. Also I hear most professors won’t bat an eye if you walk in late (according to a soph I know at Cornell) so I guess there’s that lol. Any thoughts?
Classes are typically held 15 minutes apart. It’s enough time to get across most of campus. I had two classes back-to-back first semester where one was at the bottom of the arts quad and the second was uphill at the top of the ag quad. You’ll learn shortcuts. Where are your classes in question held?
As far as whether professors will care if you walk in late, it depends on the professor and the size of the class. I wouldn’t personally recommend walking in late to any class, but professors in large lectures certainly don’t care as much as professors of small discussions, or so I’ve found.
Thank you @Ranza123 for your response. I have :
Math Lec at Mallot Hall
Math Disc. at Snee Hall Geological Science
Comp Sci Lec at Olin Hall
Comp Sci Disc at Phillips Hall
Chem Lec at Baker Laboratory (Lab location To be announced)
PE at Appel
ENGRG Seminar at Olin Hall
On Tuesdays and Thursday I go from Math Disc to Comp Sci Lec to Appel (roughly 15-20 min per interval) and was wondering if it would be enough time to make it to class. I have enough time to get to my other classes (1-2 hours) and most of them take place in the morning so I’m not worried about that specifically.
Thank you!
Snee Hall to Baker Lab will be a bit of a trek, but easily doable (I’d say about 10ish minutes). Baker to Appel is probably slightly shorter but will be a bit concerning if you need to change into gym clothes beforehand. For both of my PE classes, though, we were allowed to be late.
^lol, my Ds yoga teacher did not tolerate tardiness and told them if they had a class before yoga that could make them late, they should drop it. I don’t think she was kidding.
@Renomamma Wow, harsh! Not that I blame her. If I were a professor, I wouldn’t appreciate tardiness at all. My swing dance instructor was strict, but kept the sign-in sheet open until 15 minutes into the class. My badminton class was very laid-back, and as long as the instructor liked you and you weren’t consistently 15 minutes late, he didn’t really care.
