Correction on the Web
Each page of the Correction on the Web application contains all necessary navigation buttons and links to allow you to complete the form. You should always use the command buttons and hypertext links that are provided on the Web pages. If you use other navigational features provided by your browser, you risk losing data that you have previously entered in the application.
Throughout the application process, you may save the application information by selecting the Save button at the bottom of each application page. Additional instructions can be found on this Help page.
When you begin using Correction on the Web, you'll notice that many of the answers are prepopulated on the form. The prepopulated answers come from the information reported on your 2007-2008 FAFSA. You only need to correct the prepopulated answers that are incorrect.
Correction on the Web allows you to make corrections to any question on the FAFSA, except Social Security Number (SSN).
NOTE: You can only make six corrections to the Federal School Codes at one time. If you wish to make more than six corrections to the Federal School Codes you must wait until the previous correction has been processed and then submit another correction form.

Gak! Thanks, college18, but I'm still confused. I went in and "made corrections" by paging through the screens, getting to the list of schools page, and deleting the first six school codes and adding that of the 7th school but without first using the "add or delete" schools link. Have I inadvertently completely wiped out all record of our FAFSA for the first six schools? How can I check whether the original six are still "on file" and accessible?

No, you have not completely wiped out all records of the first six schools. What happened is--those 6 schools belong in "Transaction 1." After deleting and adding (literally "replacing") those 6 schools, the next FAFSA/SAR becomes "Transaction 2." When you add more schools or make corrections, those will be "Transaction 3" or 4, 5, so forth. Your previous schools are not deleted. There are other threads in CC that answer your question. Most of the members' posts and responses are very helpful. I apologize if my previous reply was a bit long.

Thanks so much for your reassurances, college18! I'll try to summon the nerve to check for myself... Honestly, the process is SO daunting to me as a novice that I have less and less confidence that I'm doing any of this stuff right, and I'm frankly beginning to feel a just a weeeee bit deranged as a result. No wonder there's a thread celebrating being done with FAFSA forever!
