<p>Just a quick question: how do you know when your counselor has finished and submitted his/her letter? It is easy to tell for the teacher recs (I invited 2 teachers and then "assigned" them. Thus, next to each teacher name it says "Assigned 9/7" and then says "Not started" because the teacher has not started them yet). But you don't "assign" a counselor (since you just have 1 on the Common App , and that 1 goes to every college), so it just gives the date you "invited" the counselor up above. Then in that section below it gives the counselor's name and a list of all of those recs (including mid-year, etc). So HOW do I know when she has submitted her letter? Anyone know? Thanks!</p>
<p>The recommendation is inside the school report so when they submit the school report they submit the recommendation.</p>

<p>yea, in that list for the counselor it says school report and next to it, when they submit it, you’ll be able to see that it has been successfully submitted instead of the not started thing.</p>

<p>Raqbau, one more question please. I just went back and looked at my “School Report” section. Next to the 2 teachers’ names it says “not started”, but in the counselor section it says her name, and it says “School Report” (plus Mid-Year Report, End-of-Year Report, etc) but it does NOT say “Not Started” yet–it just says nothing next to “School Report”. Does this mean that I did something wrong?</p>
<p>No it means I was mistaken my bad when she starts it it will say “started: [date]” sorry about that. But on the teacher ones it’ll say not started.</p>
