I was just admitted to UCSD as a Transfer from a CCC. I realize that UCSD utilizes a two-pass enrollment system. On each pass, enrollment is given first to priorities, then seniors, juniors, sophomore, and then freshman.
Now, since I’m a transfer, will i get a juniors enrollment time or a freshman’s enrollment time? Also, will my 105 transferrable quarter units from my CCC count towards unit priority, i.e. if I do get a juniors enrollment time, will i enroll earlier than another junior with say 100 quarter units?
Enrollment time is determined by number of units (as is your “standing” so whether you are freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior standing is also determined by the number of units. I would assume that you would generally have an earlier time than another junior with less units but I don’t have any proof of that. But really your time wouldn’t be that significantly different, students of the same standing all enroll in 2-3 days, so your specific time within that probably isn’t going to matter that much.
Your transferrable quarter units count towards the unit priority. During your very first quarter, all incoming transfer students are given random enrollment times (returning students have already enrolled for fall last month). The beginning your second quarter you will enroll with every other student on campus based off units.
