I searched the website but I couldn't find any information so I'll post it here

Is it easy to transfer from LSA to engineering , or vice versa?

What are the general requirements?

Specifically how does this work on a computer science major, which has a deparment in both LSA and engineering? (they share same core classes but different general requirement classes)

It is extremely easy to transfer from LSA to Engineering. You need to finish up Calc I and II, Chem 125/130, Physics 140, Engin 100 and Engin 101. You’ll need a GPA of something like 3.0 in these classes to qualify for most departments. Nothing too difficult.

In fact, since LSA is cheaper than Engineering, not a bad thing to start in LSA, get the prereqs out of the way and transfer into Engineering. You could save yourself a couple thousand dollars over the course of 2-3 semesters. (And it isn’t difficult to register into Engin 101, just need a simple override.)

I think you’d be better off doing Comp Sci in Engineering than LSA. Recruitment I imagine is better in Engineering.

It’s easier to transfer from Engineering to LSA, but as UMEE11 said, neither should be too hard. Lots of people start out in LSA because it’s easier to get into and then transfer to Engineering.
