Question on submitting applications...

If you are ready to submit an application but you are still planning to take the SAT/ACT again to improve your score would it be better just to submit the aplication with your old score and tell them the date your taking it again or just wait till you get the scores back to submit the application.

I dont really understand how they can accept or not accept you if they haven't recieved new scores on the tests your planning on taking so I would appreciate if someone could explain this to me.

Also if you apply and get turned down but retake the tests and score higher can you reapply, and if you do get accepted with your old scores what do you do with your new scores if they are better for things such as scholarships and such. I am confused so if you understand how this works I would be very greatful..

anyone have any ideas?

it really depends whether you're applying early/regular or rolling. If it's the former, then most of the time there'd be no difference, since they typically consider the highest scores. If it's rolling, it will then depend on how your old scores and other stats are. Good? Don't wait for the next score to send you app.
