Why does Duke ask if you are a twin/triplet? Are you more likely to receive financial aid if you are? Would you still receive financial aid even if your other twin/triplets didn't apply to Duke as well?

If anyone can help answer these, I would really appreciate it. I'm a triplet, but neither one of my sisters applied to Duke. Whether or not I go may depend on any aid received.

It probably asks those types of questions to determine the amount of aid you'd be eligible for. It factors into aid calculations in that if a family has more kids in college at the same time, then they bear a great financial burden in paying for multiple tuition bills, thus their financial aid package would be more generous to take that into account. It doesn't matter if any of the other sibling go to the same college or not, as long as the parents have to pay a tuition for them.
