Question on the December 22nd S.A.T 1 test

Question on the December 22nd S.A.T 1 test… it’s the last old s.a.t. test and i want to take it to improve my current sat score… will colleges ignore it or accept it? because isn’t january the deadline for college apps? and the scores comes out around Feb

oops i mean january 22nd sat test

check with each school, some accept them, some dont

January is the deadline for apps being received but they're not all processed immediately. My D ran into that last year...had the flu for the December test date and had to wait until the January date. She improved her scores by 100 points...but I have no idea whether the scores had been received before they processed her file. We did "Rush" them. Whether they would re-open a file if they had already made a negative decision is something else I don't know. Simply put, there are too many indeterminable factors here. You cross your fingers and take your chances because if you don't take the SAT again, you know you won't get an improvement. My D did not get into H or S, which were the two biggies...I think she would have gotten into her other four schools anyway (after being rejected EA at Y). However, her improved SAT's won her a $2,500 scholarship from the college she elected to attend, plus a research position for her first two years so it wound up being absolutely worth it any event.

many schools post on their web sites what is the latest date to take SATs.
