i just hear that transfer student who admitted as a Biz Econ major have to maintain a aveerge GPA 3.5 on econ 11, 41 and 101 in UCLA in order to get into that Biz Econ major. oterhwise we will be kick out? one question is how hard are those classes is and what is the name of those classes?

Econ 11 is MicroEconomic Theory
Econ 41 is Stats for Econ
Econ 101 is MacroEconomic Theory

Econ 11 and 101 are somewhat hard, nothing too bad, but not a piece of cake either. Econ 41 is very easy, assuming you have some knowledge of stats - It’s basically just a repeat of AP Stats.

And yes, as a transfer, you do need to keep a 3.5 GPA in those three classes, assuming you’ve met all other pre-req’s.

Have a minimum 3.3 GPA in Econ 11 and 101 and a minimum 3.5 GPA in Econ 11, 101 and all Economics courses with at least Economics 11 as a prerequisite and a minimum 3.3 cumulative UCLA GPA.

this is the second option for enter into the major. so basically 3.3GPA on Econ 11 and 101 and 3.5 on rest of the major pre? including your Community college major pre transferable classes? is that right?

Transfer students in this category must meet one of the following:

Have a minimum 3.5 GPA in Econ 11 and 101, and a minimum 3.3 cumulative UCLA GPA. or
Have a minimum 3.3 GPA in Econ 11 and 101 and a minimum 3.5 GPA in Econ 11, 101 and all Economics courses with at least Economics 11 as a prerequisite and a minimum 3.3 cumulative UCLA GPA.

the second optino is saying minimum 3.5GPA in Econ 11, 101 and all Economic course, is that mean including the econ major pre class I took in Community college?

No, it’s specifc to classes taken at UCLA that require Econ 11 as a pre-req.

also… i have another question…
is there any website beside ratemyprofessor.com that you can read the comment and rating of your professor In UCLA, cux i could barely find a comment in the Economic department. If you guy wont mind to share?

bruinwalk.com
