Son applied to business school at UF. If they do not accept him into the business school, is he automatically considered for another major? Does anyone know how this works and what the notification is like?
Is he applying as a first year freshman? If so, you apply and are admitted to the University not the college. As a freshman, he can pick any major (except for a few limited access majors that you apply to as a junior, like Bio Engineering). It will not impact his chances at admissions.
In the first year or two, it’s fairly easy to switch majors at UF. You’re not locked into a major/college.
