Hello,

Does anyone know if Columbia places special emphasis on applicants who have an immediate sibling (older sister, for instance) who has graduated from the institution and a parent currently employed by CU (take into account an applicant possessing both of these cases)?

Thanks alot.

I'm not sure if there's any legacy preference for siblings but I think you may at least get a discount for a parent working there.

Ahh ok, thanks alot for the response.

^^

In the first page of the "Application for Admission 1", it asks whether a parent or sibling has graduated from or is currently attending CU.

Subsequently, it also asks whether a parent is a full-time employee of CU.

Just caught my attention

Yes, there is a legacy preference for a sibling.
