Two things...

Does having a sister at Columbia already help me at all? (crosses fingers)

How do I go about sending more information without nagging. Our gymnastics team which I have been captain of two years now just won the LEague, District, and State championships. There were some newspaper articles and stuff. Should I even bother sending this or no…?

Yes. Any immediate family members count in terms of legacy. Grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins (too bad for me), etc. don't. The app asks you to list "parents or siblings who have graduated from or are attending CU." If your sis is doing well at the school, they will likely look at it in a good way; if she's not doing well academically, etc., then maybe not. But how would they know that kind of info anyway?

Handwrite a letter to your regional representative and include your articles, etc. Overnight it if possible, since they're making their decisions fast. In fact, I heard a rumor that they already have considered legacy applicants for RD. But it couldn't hurt to send it in by all means.
