I’m currently a freshman at CC planning to transfer to UCLA for Bizecon. Basically, I’ve got two precautionary questions:

If I apply to UCLA for Bizecon and don’t get in, could I still get into UCLA with a backup major if I completed all its prereqs? Aka, I’d do all the prereqs for Bizecon and Global Studies; I apply for Bizecon, but if I don’t get admitted, would they still accept me into Global Studies? Is there even a spot for a backup major on the application for transfer students?

If I do get admitted into UCLA as a pre-bizecon major, and if I don’t pass one of the conditional econ classes that you must pass before securing your spot in the major, would I still be able to remain at UCLA and major in something else? Or would I have to pack my bags and leave UCLA? :o

Sorry if these sound pessimistic. I’m just trying be realistic and plan ahead to make sure I don’t find myself in any tragic, unexpected situations.

if you fail an econ course you can take it over you know. No one will kick you out unless you fail all of your classes in that quarter and in another one, not sure on the exact details but first you get put on probation then disqualified and kicked out. Basically you really have to WANT to be kicked out to get kicked out

Also, it is not easy to Fail a class at ucla. It is hard to get an A- but it is harder to get an F.

I had an econ course i didnt take the final in, the teacher gave me a B!!!!

Btw, when do the qualifications for TAP have to be completed? At my CC, we need to take 5 honors classes to qualify for TAP. I know that we're supposed to send applications around November, but am I allowed to take my fifth honors class in the spring before I transfer? Or will I not be considered TAP-qualified since at the time of my application, I'd only have 4 honors classes done and thus not-yet TAP-qualified.
