Question regarding bank statement (I'm an int'l student)

<p>I got accepted in Stanford class of 2018, and I am required to send a bank statement in order to get an I-20 to apply for my Visa to stay in the US. But as for the bank statement, am I only required to show that I have at least USD 300,000 or do I also have to show that I have been keeping USD 300,000 for a duration of time? (e.g. like 6 months) </p>

<p>And when I go to the US embassy to apply for Visa, do I have to carry my most recent bank statement with me again for proof? </p>
