Question regarding Extracurriculars

Hey guys,

This is probably a unique question, but I was wondering what you guys think.

I started flying right before I turned 16. I soloed for the first time about 3 days after I turned 16. (16 is the age when the FAA allows you to first solo). I'm now a fully licensed Private Pilot with about 65 hours logged.

What effect would this have on a college application? Is it something they will look really positively upon?

Yes - it's cool. Hard to say how it looks compared to the accomplishments of other applicants...

Try to combine your interest in flying with some kind of physics project, or something.... that will DEFinately win you some points with the adcoms.

If you can express your passion for flying in your essays, it would definitely give you an edge.
