Will this make me look bad?

for the USC application, I wrote about airplanes for the short anwser about my career choice, and I wrote about how I went to the 787 premiere for the question that says: list any other special events youve been to. would it be alright to write my personal essay about my passion for airplanes? or would it reduce my chances of being accepted becasue they would think im a dork with no life except for airplanes? I just dont want them to think that all i know is planes, cause thats not all their is to me, i mean my EC list is pretty long. what do u think?

any opinions?

As long as the essay is about you and not airplanes, any topic will be fine. In other words, what else will the reader know about you, once they've established that you, indeed, like planes? They already know you are hardworking, like a challenge, etc, because of your transcript (or at least they will have established an opinon about your academic ability :))

Do you fly? Are you a risk taker? Do you share your passion by teaching something about airplanes? Do you read technical journals/books about planes because you're an aeronautical engineer wannabe? Are planes your connection with your passion for history? Is it your dream to be a pilot? a flight attendant, a mechanic? The why of these answers is the essay.

Your essay has to result in the reader writing down a number of adjectives about you. "crazy about planes" is already on the list from the other essays. What else?

wow you are good! thanks for the help riverrunner
