If our tax documents arrive late through IDOC, will I be penalized? I'm an SCEA admit from Taiwan, and our tax forms are very different from U.S. ones, as are our tax filing deadlines. (Most of our W-2 forms and other tax information won't be received by us till April or May.) Also, does Stanford accept 2005 tax forms for review?

Thank you very much for any input and advice.

I can't help you with advice, but I'd like to hear about this as well. We won't be able to get ours in by the deadline either (living in Oman), but I can't really say I'm worried. When my sister started at Cornell, my dad didn't get his financial aid stuff in until 4 months after the deadline or so...he just wrote them a letter saying he was overseas and couldn't get certain things in until such and such a date, and they were perfectly fine with it.

I just found out the answer to my question. I emailed Stanford, and they said that I should send in a signed estimation of what my parents are expected to earn in 2006. It doesn't have to be very official. I won't be penalized if I send in the forms late, but I will receive notification of my award later than usual.
