I have a friend at Exeter who is a day student. I was wondering if it were possible for me to spend the weekend at their house if both parents agree
I’m a boarder
yes.
Each BS has its own protocol. Usually, there are a bunch of consents that parents sign for their student each year. At Choate, since the town of Wallingford was on campus, you didn’t need permission to go into town, but you did need parental consent for driving/getting into a car with another students’ family, hopping a bus or train to NYC, spending the night (if you are a boarder) at a day student’s house. All these consents are annual meaning parents fill them out once and they are good for a year. I’m sure Exeter and the other BSs have something similar.
yes @Bunny8280. Each parent has to submit permissions as do you. It is a very formal process which cannot be done last minute usually
@Bunny8280 I thought your brother went to PEA. Wouldn’t you be aware of the rules somewhat ?
