<p>My mother was a lecturer at Princeton University for 8 years. (Taught classes, etc). Would her position provide any significant affect in my admissions? Is the position of a lecturer insignificant in comparison to "full professorship"? </p>
<p>She also attended Columbia University to get her teaching degree. Would that count as legacy in undergraduate? Also by no means am I attempting to ride the coat tails of my parent, I am a fully capable individual.</p>
