Question Regarding SLS Rejection Letter

Things may have changed, or simply be different in your daughter's case. My son attended the USAFA seminar also without the interview. He was studying abroad at the time and the AFA arranged for an in-person interview in Europe, then New England, then out West, all of which he was unable to make due to extensive travel and other committments. We were told that it was a requirement which was ultimately waived since he would be at the seminar. It was also stressed that his acceptance to the seminar was an "acceptance" to the academy provided that he complete the nomination process. It was also made clear that the Air Force Academy's policy was different than than the policies at the Naval Academy and at West Point. My son was also accepted to the USCGA seminar but could not attend due to another summer program.

Before I log off, I would like to share my son's evaluation of his experiences. He said that the three leadership seminars were the best experiences of his life, and that the other participants and instructors were the nicest people that he had ever met.
