question + some critiques?

<p>I am doing the 4th personal question on the Common App (fictional character who has influenced me) and I am writing about a fairly popular book, The Little Prince. Because it is so widely known, should I include some information/summary about the book (just a sentence or two before I elaborate on it) or should I just talk about how it affected me?</p>

<p>A college essay should be anything but a book report, but you should have explained enough to make a solid base for the point you're making.</p>
