Question-Spring Semester

Hello,
What are the odds for admission for the Spring 11 semester? I applied for the fall and got denied. Im a political science(government) major, looking for admission into the College of Liberal Arts. I have a 3.4 gpa.

Thank you.

3.4 GPA isn’t bad. could you give more information though?

I doubt your chances of admission will change without any change in your stats. Were you denied with a 3.4 before, or has it now raised to a 3.4? A 3.4 is a bit low as I think 3.5 is generally considered the cut-off mark.

i concur with dan. you should try to raise your gpa, work on your essays, and have maybe more volunteer hours?

i agree with etcterae, give more info.

:)

3.4 is a bit too low. You’re better off going to a community college, making a 4.0 and transferring after a year. Or even better, go to one of the other UTs and do the same.

Yea i know. I had a tough first semester at UNT. The second semester i had a 3.6. but It was a 3.4 when i applied. And they told me that 3.0 was the cut off for strong consideration. But i have transferred to Texas State in hope of raising my gpa.
