Question that lingers in my head...about summer job

<p>I have worked at Mcdonald's for a while.
But whenever I encounter rude customers, I feel like I am wasting my time that I could have used to do volunteering or other my future major related job.</p>

<p>So, is the Mcdonald's job not so as beneficial as other extracurriculars such as summer programs or lifeguarding in terms of college admission for highly selective schools (like top 20)?</p>

<p>If you get better offers like a good competitive free summer program, go for it. Until then keep dealing and remember all for the money.</p>
