Question!

Alright, I have a question that people @ UConn already would probably be the only ones that can help me out here.

A) Is it hard to obtain permission to do a double major?
B) Let me know if I'm allowed to do this....Basically, I'm an econ major meaning I have to do 8 200 level classes (plus some other 100 level classes). I also have to do FOUR related courses outside of my major (200+) and then THREE additional 200 level classes (major or related). That leaves me with SEVEN 200 level classes to play around with. Now, here's my Q. Am I allowed to use all 7 of those in Sociology? Sociology requires 1 100 level course and 8 200 level courses, so 7 would get me almost covered. Throw in 2 electives, and I've got sociology complete as a double major....is that allowed? I'm assuming so, because it doesn't say that related and additional classes CANT be from the same department.
C) Also, ECON 203/W is under content area 1 (section C). If I do that to cover one of my five content area 1 requirements, would that also be able to count as one of my 8 required 200 level econ classes? I'm assuming so, right?

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated

A) Depends on the situation ask your advisory is my advice.
B) Well there are general educaiton requirements that are put out by the University, you would have to go through everything and make sure you meet those as well as both majors requirements.
C) Probably once again I say ask your advisor. Or look through the guid to course selection thing on the registrars site. It has all the requirements for pretty much every major.
