Question

Hello all. I have a random question for you guys.

Would you guys consider working 3 hours per day while managing 3 classes (roughly 20 hours of work and 12 semester units)

or

taking 6 classes (~22 semester hours of the hardest science classes you can take at a community college) without a job while applying to 18 private & public universities (top 30 universities according to USnews)?

Which do you think is harder?

the latter don’t put off classes .

The best solution would be to do 6 classes and work if you can handle it.

Taking extra time to finish only hurts in the long run.

Earnings now vs bigger earnings later

the second one. but not b/c ur applying to 18 schools. that means ur very insecure about yourself and have low confidence. 4-5 schools should be enough.

From one over-achiever to another, good motivation, and I’m a huge fan of the large unit load, but why 18 schools? That really does seem excessive and a bit insecure, unless you have the greenbacks to pay for the application fees! Haha- then who cares? Do what you want.

BTW- are you planning on taking these roughly 22 units during your last semester before transfer? Many schools HATE to see that kind of courseload if you’ve never done that before… but if you have had a semester with ~22 units before, by all means go for it… For instance, I’m taking 6 classes @ 18 units for Spring 2010, but I did it for Fall 09 and Spring 09 as well, so it’s not a jump from my norm.

Yeah. That’s what I assumed. Thanks for your opinion guys.
