I've submitted my common app and supplements to Miami in the past few days. I'm looking at their application instructions now - I've done everything except pay the non-refundable fee (which I'm planning on doing in the next couple of days, once payday hits). I have a question about the "recommendation" part, though.
On the common app, I listed my counselor and a math teacher from last year for recommendors. Miami's website says "A recommendation must be submitted by your counselor or a teacher on your behalf. This recommendation can be in the form of a letter; the School Report (PDF 245KB) (preferred), completed by your counselor; or the Teacher Evaluation (PDF 236KB), completed by a teacher. The recommendation must be submitted directly from the school official. Only one recommendation is required."

Is that covered by the common app, or do I have to mail them what their asking for? I'm just a bit confused about it. Thanks!

Bump… I’d appreciate any help.

The best is to ask adcom to clarify anything. This is part of their job and they are usually very helpful.

I second MiamiDAP. The people there are very friendly.

Now when my son applied using the common app a couple years ago, he filed electronically. I don’t remember him providing any “paper” counselor or recommendation forms. His school and recommending teachers sent everything electronically also. Did you file online? Did you list your counselor’s and recommending teacher’s email addresses on the common app? Did your school give you any specific instructions as to how they process these items?

My guess is if you filed electronically and your school/teachers accept and participate electronically, you are fine. But if you are not sure, check with your school and also call Miami.

ChicagoBear - yes I did file online and I listed my counselor and teacher for recommendations.

Thank you both for your help!
