Questions about Cal Grant

Hello, this is my first post…

I have some questions about the Cal Grant.

I recently made a school change on the Webgrant site and the status still says pending after a couple of days. Do I have to send other documents relating to this change?

Do I have to contact the school I am going about the Cal Grant?

How can I be eligible for Pell Grants?

The school I’m going, UCSD, gives a grant of its own. Will this Cal grant affect the amount?

Well these are my questions. Please give me some answers quickly as possible.
Thanks. ^^

Do I have to contact the school I am going about the Cal Grant?

Let CalGrant know what school you're going to- they have a phone number you can call. UCSD-- they will adjust their FinAid offer by first reducing any in-house grants/scholarships, and then reducing any self help (work study or loans) to compensate for the CalGrant amount.

How can I be eligible for Pell Grants?

FAFSA application is all you need. Eligibility is based on EFC (it's around 4K, but do a search and you'll find the current figure). It will automatically be included in the FinAid offer from the school, if you're eligible.

Yes. See answer to #1.
