They seem to have a great music industry program. Does this program require the applicant to do an audition or does it not emphasize the performance aspect at all?

Also- Are most students from the northeast?

Thanks!

I don’t know the answer to the first question.

I think that the majority of students are from the NE (with many from the Philadelphia area and South Jersey), but there are certainly folks from other parts of the country. There is a large population of students from California, and I know people from the Midwest and South as well.

I don’t think so because its all about the industry/business of music not performance.

hi, my son was accepted into the music industry program and they did not require an audition. The way it was described at the open house, sounds like musical experience is helpful but not mandatory since it is not a performance program. My son did do independent studies in recording at his high school since no classes were offered.

Hi InvolvedMom… I’m guessing you guys are from FL? I’m from Florida as well and am in the music industry program. It does not require an audition, as someone else mentioned it is not performance-based, it is focused on the industry.

Most students are from the NE, but there are plenty as well who aren’t or are even from out of the country.
