Okay, I'm currently a freshman at Vassar. Right now I'm considering filmmaking as a possible career and I just have some questions. Ok, here goes:

If I do film, I'm definitely considering grad school, however, could I still major in film as an undergraduate if I'm planning on film for grad school?
Also, what does everyone know about Wesleyan's program? I've heard they have an awesome alumni network which is very important.
Why is Vassar' s program considered to be pretty good? The facilities?
I definitely want the liberal arts atmosphere, I'm in no hurry to immerse myself in production just yet. I know NYU is good if you don't plan on grad school, but how r Vassar and Wesleyan programs w/o grad school? Any thoughts?

From what i've read, when it comes to studying Film, UCLA and USC are near unbeatable. And i would also suggest checking out Chapman University.

I know USC and UCLA, Emerson, and Chapman are good, but for now, I'm still exploring my options and vassar seems to be a good place to do that. I guess my main question is that if I decide I want to go into film as a career, and that I want to go to graduate school, is it okay that I majored in film for undergrad? Or should I not major in film for undergrad and just for grad school.

What do you mean by "is it okay that I majored in film for undergrad?" You could do it either way. I am sure you have considered whether changing your major at this point would add a significant amount of time to your earning your bachelor's degree. If it would add a lot of time to change majors, it might be best to just stick with what you are doing and study film during grad school if you are still interested in it at that time.

Why don't you contact the graduate schools you are interested in and ask them directly about their advice for your undergrad studies? You can usually find an email address on their website.
