I was just wondering if anyone knew the policies about going onto the cryptology field after USNA. I have been to the site and it says that it is an opportunity for those who are not physically qualified for warfare assignments. I assumed this meant you could go into cryptology even if you are physically qualified but it doesn't say anything so I just wanted to affirm this. Thanks for any reply!

You can only go into Crypto/Intel and the other restricted line stuff if you are not line qualified. If you are line qualified you must do that or USMC.

You can xfer into a specialty after a tour in a regular line field.
