I read that for the presidential scholarship you need a 3.5 gpa and 32 act. My school doesn’t calculate gpa on a 4.0 scale, but instead does it out of 100 (I have a 91.7 gpa). Would University of Alabama be able to convert this to a 4.0? Would I qualify for the scholarship if I have the 32 act? I am out of state if that helps. Thanks.
Yes, they would recalculate your GPA using your transcript to be on a 4.0 scale. And yes your 32 ACT is good enough on the ACT.
I had about a 92 GPA on a 100 point scale I high school. When I applied to Bama I had no clue if that’d be above a 3.5. However I believe they calculated mine as a 3.57 or so.
Another option is to ask your GC if they are able and willing to do the conversion to a 4.0 and put that on your transcript. Some schools are flexible on this policy (others aren’t) and Alabama will accept this.
Thank you
