Hey guys, two quick questions. Can you get rejected from Tisch while still being accepted into NYU? Oh, and I need some help with the one page summary of works type thing. Can I see someones just for format?

Can't help you with question no. 2, but the answer to the first question is "no." Unfortunately, you can only apply to one NYU school, and if you are rejected from that school, you are rejected from NYU.

Hello, I am currently a student at NYU.
Part of what manuelo is true. You can only apply to only one NYU school. If you are rejected from that school, however, you may be put into the GSP or General Studies Program. Students in the program study at NYU, usually for a year or two, getting their general academic requirements (ones that the university has) out of the way. Then, depending on how well they do throughout the year, they can be accepted into Tisch the following year, sometimes semester (depends on each student).
Hope this helps! Best of luck to you.

That GSP comment is true about all other schools at NYU, except Tisch however. If you are rejected from Tisch, you are rejected, no GSP.

But you can be placed into GSP from CAS (College of Arts and Sciences) or some other academic track (I am not sure about Steinhardt performance majors, like MT or Voice etc.), and then transfer to Tisch.

Right. Chrisnoo makes a good point. I was speaking with reference to Tisch only, and not the other schools, but my answer was misleadingly broad. So I apologize.
