I was planning on going to UCSB but I doubt I'll get in because I get mostly B's and C's..

So I'm thinking about going to sbcc for 2 years then transferring to ucsb. But I want to live in Isla vista so the only place that looks good and houses sbcc students is Tropicana Gardens.

Will this place be worth $13000 a year considering they give you unlimited food?

Has anyone lived here or been here? what is it like and is it good for a community college student?

I lived at Tropicana Gardens for my freshman year at UCSB and then the following year I became an RA for Trop. In my opinion it was definitely worth my money because I loved how easy it was for me to meet people at programs, and although I love cooking, making myself a homemade dinner was the last thing on my mind after a long day of classes. Tropicana Gardens is now primarily SBCC students, which is even greater for you because you will meet many people that go to your school before you even begin classes. I made a ton of friends my freshman year and I loved my experience here.
