Questions about Unit Limit Policy for UC - Repeated Courses and Foreign University Units

Hi,

Background:
I studied in a foreign university before I transferred to a California Community College last year. I have taken 44 units from the foreign university and I’ll be taking 59 units total in CCC (all in all 103 units) to fulfill all transfer requirements. However, I repeated a significant number of courses from my foreign university (about 28 units) because they were in a series, and I haven’t completed the entire series in the said foreign university (e.g. Calculus 1 to 3, Physics 1-4). As you know, some UC campuses want series of subjects completed at only ONE institution.

Question:
So, my question is, for the High-Unit limits, will UC count ALL my units (103 units in my case) despite some subjects being repeated, or will they not count the repeats (75 in this case)?

If all of the credit is from non-UC lower division (frosh/soph level) courses, then you will be seen as having at most 70 semester units. Are all of the courses in the foreign university recognizable as lower division courses?

Also, UC has a policy on granting credit only once if you take more than one course that duplicates the material (also if a college course and AP credit duplicate material). You may want to ask directly if such a policy applies here, and whether the duplication will be noticed for your specific courses.
