Questions - AP exams

Cell phones are not allowed during the exams.

But do students normally take it with them but leave it outside the exam room? What do you all plan to do?

At my school we put them up by the front of the test place. I need to bring my so I can get in contact with my ride to get back home (we take it at a different location).

At my school, we put the phones (turned off) on the floor next to our chairs.

We usually leave our phones in our backpacks, which are stored aside during the test. If anyone’s phone goes off, scores can possibly be canceled; however, someone’s phone rang last year during the Euro exam and the proctors decided to just ignore it.

As a warning though - people run late the exam all the time. This senior last year at my school was late on his way to the exam and tweeted he was about to take the test. CB contacted the administrators and almost canceled everyone’s scores. So just be careful.

Our proctor takes the phone, and puts them all in a bag/box. We get them back after the test.

bump… Can others give their views please… thanks

We turn them off and give them to the proctor, who puts them in a bin. Some proctors may give you a post-it note to label your phone with.
