So I started prepping for the ACT really after the June one. I scored a 27 composite which I could live with seeing as I hadn't prepped much. I then acquired the red book and scored a 27 on the first test, 30 on the second test and 32 on the third test.

I worked through Princeton's 1296 practice question book and can't remember the scores I got, consistently higher than a 27, though I mainly just used it for practice. On the whole, it seemed like a good book, but then I walk into the September test thinking I score at least a 29 and I'm greeted by that ugly 27 again. My English went up just by two points from 29 to 31, math stayed low at 23, reading was 31, and science was a poor 22.

With all my prep and seeming to have improved I was a little discouraged for a while. The math was frustrating to me because as I was taking it I didn't feel like it was that hard of a section, but it seemed like some questions just had more of a tricky edge to them.

Science was tough. I'm not scoring very well in those generally, I'd say my average is about a 25, I'd be ecstatic if I managed to pull off a 28.

But to my question: Does it seem like the tests in the red book are on the easy side? In my mind the difference is clear, I even ordered my June test and can see the difference in difficulty. I just want to know if my feelings of this past June and September test being harder are accurate.

Please no, "I scored a 34 on all three of them they were all easy" or responses of the like, I'm just trying to look for some answers here, would appreciate serious responses.

P.S. I actually just got finished with the fourth red book test in the newest edition of the REAL ACT and once again, to my dismay the test seemed easier.
