<p>I wanted to apply to Jacobs University Bremen of Germany, but on its ED agreement it says that I can't apply to any other colleges in any country. Does this apply to colleges in US too? That if I choose ED for an American college, I can't apply any other college in the world for ED?</p>

<p>You will have to check with the university in Germany to get a definitive answer for its own particular rules. The rule in the US is that if you apply ED to a college you are prohibited from applying ED to any other college unless and until you are rejected ED. There is no geographic limitation on that agreement and it applies to foreign as well as US universities. You are permitted to apply regular decision and usually also non-binding early action to other universities.</p>
