Has anyone ever self studied for a course your high school does not offer? If so, did your school order the test just for you? and you were the only one in the room taking the test?

I’m sorry to ask but what excately is self-studying? Can you please tell me some details about that???

paige2292, I think most people who self-study do so when a course is not available at their school. This year I self-studied Human Geography and there is no Human Geography course offered. I just had to pay for the test and the school ordered it for me and like 3 other kids who took it. Good luck.

and FYIvyforever, here’s a general thread on self-studying that will give you a good overview of what self-studying for an AP entails.

Thank You whitesox24 !!

I took French IV my senior year and chose to take the AP French exam. I self-studied in that we did NO ap prep in my french IV class, and I had to see the AP teacher at lunch to get help on stuff I did on my own time.

The “AP coordinator” at my school is the assistant principal’s secretary. I had to give her $86 (ouch!) and she ordered a test for me =]
