If you've attended a Red Carpet Day can you tell me how long it is? About what time does it begin in the morning? I'm trying to arrange our visit in April and they don't have the schedule up yet online. The admissions counselor told me they'll have a form to register. And, it's been on Mondays and Fridays throughout March and April. I'm aiming for a Friday. We decided to wait until later in the month so my daughter will have heard from other schools by then. Normally I don't like her missing classes. But this seems like an excellent excuse! :)

Also, we're hoping my daughter can spend the Thursday night before with a HOST student. The registering isn't up online for next year yet. Has anyone participated in this program? I think it sounds great! When do they normally meet with the student? Would it be all day Thursday (classes, etc.) and then activities at night and stay over in the dorm? She'll need to be up for the Red Carpet Day. We'll be at the Biddle Hotel on campus, so that should be an easy meet-up in the morning for both of us.

Another question: Should we fly in on a Tuesday (will be evening/night by the time we finally get to the campus hotel.) I thought we could spend all day Wednesday exploring downtown Bloomington and maybe even take a bus around town. I wasn't sure when she would need to meet her HOST student on Thursday so I wanted to allow some "tourist time". Friday, if all goes as planned, we'd be attending the Red Carpet Day. Or do you think we'll have plenty of time to see things if we flew in on Wednesday? (evening/night) I suppose I could explore the town on my own Thursday and her HOST student could show her around later. It would definitely save some money. :)

Thank you!
