does physical education count in calculating unweighted or weighted gpa?

do colleges look at unweighted gpa a lot? do they look at weighted gpa more?

if i have a low unweighted gpa, but around 4.4 weighted gpa, will my weighted gpa sort of overshadow my unweighted?

is it beneficial to take more than 3 sat ii subject tests if you score near 800 on all of your subject tests? Like if I get 800s on 5 subject tests, would it be better than taking 3?

around what score do i have to get on psat to qualify for nmsqt? I got around 200 this year (sophomore) without any prepping. I am pretty sure I can get a bit more junior year.

Do UCs look at ECs a lot? I haven't done much ECs except ~200 hours of community service and membership in some clubs.

please post if any of you know some answers to these questions. Thanks.

Based on what I know, here are my answers:

Colleges will look at both unweighted and weighted GPA, but I think that the most difficult colleges generally calculate your GPA using their own standards. BTW, I have no idea as to whether or not colleges look at P.E. I know high schools calculate it in, so I don't know why colleges wouldn't.

Taking more than 3 subject tests would be a waste if the college you want to go to only requires three. I'm not really sure on that one, but I think maybe you should do some research depending on the college you'd like to go to.

On the PSAT, it depends what state you're in. For the first round, there is a cutoff for each state. Obviously, states like MA and CA have higher cutoffs than states like Nevada. After that, I think it is up to your score and other things you are required to submit if you make it far enough.

I really don't know too much, so I hope these answers may have helped a little!

Thanks your answers did help a bit. I just hope they don't look at PE (got 2C's in 2 semesters of pe).

Does anyone have anymore opinions/answers?

If it is a proper credit course, it probably will.
If it's just a lame requirement that you just have to take, not likely.
I don't know about other schools, but our school counts PE as a regular course and we take PE into account when calculating averages, honour roll eligibility, etc. I heard some schools don't count it in though.

Yeah it is a lame requirement we have to take.

I think our school counts p.e. in determining class rank and high school gpa. :(
