so i am applying to berkeley this year and i really want to get into its engineering school...some people told me that i could get in because i am an international student and some said that its impossible because my GPA is low and the courses i am taking do not really focus on science that much (i wanna double major in college so my courses are covering a lot of fields including arts, math, history and science..)

so im a boarding student in a private school on the east coast. my TOEFL score is 119. taking SAT in october and possible around 2150. biology SAT II 760 and math II SAT 780. if possible i ll take SAT II physics in November
took 4 APs in junior year: AP US history (4) AP Biology (5) AP Calculus (5) AP Stats (5)

and taking 3 APs in senior year: AP Art History AP Physics AP Psychology
and also multivariable calculs and Honors Art Studio (its a course beyond AP art studio level offered at my school)

my school doesn't weight our GPA so my GPA is really really low...3.56. but i calculated A-G scale GPA is 3.97..i don't know how that work out and i have no idea which one i should fill out when im writing my application

so im just wondering if any past female applicants could chance me.. or at least tell me if you had the same background getting into berkeley. i dont know if being a female applicant is an advantage or a disadvantage.. and being an international student kinda puts me into an awkward situation since i actually study here.

my courses don't really show that i am interested in engineering but i really am.. how much does it really matter about the courses you are taking in high school???
and i would really appreciate it if anyone could tell me which major is easier to get in: Industrial Engineering, Bioengineering or just engineering undeclared. im interested in these two majors so either one works.

THANX SO MUCH!!
