Questions........

A few questions,... Have any of you took more 4 or more AP'S in one year. I am Thinking of doing, U.S, Anatomy AP, Chemistry AP(or Bio Ap if its not available), and English AP. Was it more than an 8 hour workload, and please share experiences.
Thanks Alot

hey, junior year i did 4 APs and it was hard. I had at least 6 hours of hw a night but it made the year go by faster and it was worth it (hopefully, we'll see where I get in first lol)

Yes. The workload depends A LOT on your school. If you are going to be taking a lot of APs, and your school is known to give a LOT of homework, then cut down on superficial extracurriculars. If you are pretty good at managing your school's workload then don't worry about it. I for one had a pretty easy time taking AP English, AP US History, AP Foreign Language, AP Biology, and AP Calculus 1. AP Chemistry is known to be pretty difficult though, so be warned.

i have 4 rite now: english lang, calc, us, and chem
so far english and us r the slacker classes b/c we havent really been doing much
and calc and chem are the "most work" classes
yeah it seriously depends on ur school but thats how mine r :)

What the hell is Anatomy AP?

anatomy ap means their school hasn't been audited yet.

ap is a trademark that can only be used if it conforms to their tests and subject matters.

I am sorry, I meant Anatomy and Psychilogy honors, which has the same weight as an AP class

I took 5 last year -- Physics C, Chem, Calc BC (Calc II/III class), US/Comparative Government, and Statistics. It was hard, but only because (a) we had four teachers for government, none of whom were competent, and one of whom was an utter jerk to me (b) I was trying to figure out the meaning of life, and didn't, so I wasn't very focused. I didn't have to spend eight hours a day studying, certainly. Then again, most of my teachers didn't assign homework, so I just spent my time reading the book and doing questions I felt I needed to do.

I got all 5s, so I suppose I studied enough.

With regard to the courses you're taking, I found AP Chemistry to be probably the easiest AP I've ever taken (and I had a crummy teacher). Biology was the second-hardest.

im doin 4 right now..ap chemistry..ap us history...ap english language...and ap statistics

4 here too
apush
ap comp
ap bio
ap chem

i think english will be the one you can slack in...

im taking 5...
ap gov
ap macroeco
ap psych
ap eng lit
ap chem
ap calc BC (w/ AB subscore)

Question, is there anyone here who took regular Chemistry and moved on to Chem ap,? Do u need to memorize the table in for chem?

The workload really depends on the teachers. Im taking ap cal, ap physics, apush, ap eng lang, ap stats, ap spanish. 3 of those classes are prety easy but the other three are really hard because they are online. So in the end it really depends on the teachers, but that doesnt mean not to study for the test with easy workload.

pharmdboy..i took regular chemistry..and now im in AP Chemistry..no..u dont need to memorize the table in AP chem cuz its given 2 u in the reference tables for AP chem

"im taking 5...
ap gov
ap macroeco
ap psych
ap eng lit
ap chem
ap calc BC (w/ AB subscore)"

Isn't that 6? I'm self-studying for psych. My school doesn't offer AP classes, but it offers the IB instead, so this will be my first AP exam, so that's why I didn't want to do too many at once. Good luck to everyone!

Thanks alot, I thought I was the only one, and would go crazy. :)

yeah sorry typo. i meant 6.

I was in five AP classes my senior year in high school. I took five out of the possible 7 exams:
English (Language)
Spanish (Language)
Government (U.S.)
Economics (Macro)
Calculus BC
I was able to manage all of those exams while directing a school-wide play, so if you're willing to stick to your guns, you can do it, no problem. :)

I'm taking 4: Physics, Calc AB, English Lit, and US Goverment. It really depends on the rigor of your classes (at my school, for example, Physics and Calc AB are taken by psycos , Lit and US Gov are slacker APs.) I'm not having much trouble this year, but then again last year I took 3 hard APs and worked my *** off.
